A study was made of Mormon interfaith marriages (Mormons married to nonMormons) in Northern Florida, where Mormons constitute less than one percent of the population. It was ascertained that (a) about two-thirds of the Mormons living in Northern Florida at the time of marriage had married a non-Mormon, (b) Mormon females married non-Mormons more frequently than did Mormon males, (c) about one-third of the non-Mormon spouses later converted to Mormonism, and (d) there were some distinct social differences generally found between endogamous and exogamous Mormons.
