Abstract

The aim of the analysis was to discover what it means to upgrade oneself professionally within a multinational firm and how much this is influenced by the business environment or by corporate culture, wich acts as an integrating mechanism between subsidiaries and the head office as well as an element that counteracts the influences from the business environment where the subsidiary is located, in this case, Venezuela. This is theoretical-practical research within the area of the sociology of organizations, undertaken in a multinational firm in which the A. carried out a participative observation study during four months
