From the vineyards of Moshav Gilath has come evidence of a cult that dates to Chalcolithic times. The rich artifactual finds yield information not only about the religious practice of the times, but also, through comparison with the material culture of neighboring civilizations, about the economic and political relations enjoyed by this area of the Near East.
