Abstract

En analysant la production de la poterie chez les Bafia du Cameroun et en comparant leur chaine operatoire a celles de groupes voisins et distants, l'A. tente de demontrer que les processus technologiques ne sont pas regis par des contraintes environnementales et fonctionnelles et qu'il reste de la place pour l'expression stylistique. Certaines etapes de la chaine operatoire, du fait qu'elles sont peu sensibles aux innovations et dependantes des modalites d'apprentissage, sont des parametres stylistiques utiles aux archeologues
