A Generalization of the Inbreeding Coefficient

Abstract

SUMMARY It is shown that generalized quantities of inbreeding coefficient and of coefficient of parentage for linked loci tranisform through two kinds of matrices. As an example, expressions of a generalization of inbreedin-g coefficient is obtained for three linked loci, and recurrence relationships of the same quantity for an arbitrary number of linked loci are derived for some regular systems of mating.
