Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie aktualnego stanu oraz prognoz związanych z rolnictwem ekologicznym w Polsce. Przeprowadzono analizę wykorzystując dane statystyczne z opracowań GUS, IJHARS oraz Ministerstwa Rolnictwa i Rozwoju Wsi, dotyczące gospodarstw produkujących metodami ekologicznymi w Polsce. W Polsce warunki do produkcji metodami ekologicznymi są sprzyjające. Integracja z Unią Europejską stworzyła możliwości wzrostu tego sektora gospodarki żywnościowej.
