Abstract

El plan de estudios de Ingeniería Eléctrica UTP incluía el abordaje del fenómeno electrostático en un primer curso y el fenómeno electrodinámico en un segundo curso: el nombre de estos cursos son Electromagnetismo I y Electromagnetismo II respectivamente. Desde entonces se ha impartido a los estudiantes de ingeniería eléctrica consolidando unas bases teóricas sólidas y muy rigurosas. Este texto académico es el resultado de varios años de experiencia de los autores orientando el curso de ELECTROMAGNETISMO I y contiene las notas de clase utilizadas para el desarrollo del mismo, así como muchos ejemplos resueltos y ejercicios propuesto, para orientar sobre la aproximación al fenómeno electrostático. Como se ha dicho, el libro de texto que se encontrarán es básicamente el desarrollo del microcurrículo del curso que se ha impartido a lo largo de la historia del programa incluyendo sus diferentes actualizaciones. El documento se ha desarrollado de tal manera que sea comprensible para estudiantes de pregrado y sirva de base para estudiar temáticas más avanzadas en esta área. Además, contiene un suficiente número de aplicaciones que ilustran los conceptos básicos. Los capítulos de este libro constituyen los principios básicos de la electrostática y algunos elementos importantes de la electrocinética.
