Suplementação de boro na semeadura e no perfilhamento em cevada: rendimento e qualidade de sementes

Abstract

O boro é exigido em pequenas quantidades pelas culturas, sendo a aplicação de doses adequadas no solo vital para aumentar a produtividade dos cultivos. Este trabalho visou avaliar a influência da suplementação com boro, na semeadura e no perfilhamento, sobre as características agronômicas e a qualidade fisiológica de sementes de cevada. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado em esquema fatorial (fator A: aplicação na semeadura e no perfilhamento pleno; fator B: níveis de 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 e 5 kg de boro por ha-1), totalizando 12 tratamentos, com quatro repetições. Após a colheita avaliou-se: número de espigas por planta;número de sementes por espiga; rendimento de sementes por planta; peso hectolítrico; peso de mil sementes; teor foliar de boro; primeira contagem de germinação; germinação; envelhecimento acelerado; teste de frio; comprimento de parte aérea e de raiz. Os dados foram submetidos à comparação de médias pelo teste de Tukey e à regressão polinomial em nível de probabilidade de 5%. Conclui-se que ao elevar o teor de boro disponível no solo, aumenta o teor foliar da cevada. A suplementação de boro de até 5kg ha-1, tanto na semeadura como no perfilhamento, prejudica a produtividade e a qualidade fisiológica das sementes.
