O modelo de Van Hiele como recurso da aprendizagem da soma de Riemann no Ensino Médio

Abstract

Motivados pela discussão do ensino e aprendizagem do cálculo de áreas no ensino médio, este trabalho estuda a proposta da soma de Riemann para calcular a área de uma região não regular delimitada por curvas e apresenta uma estratégia para ensiná-la no ensino médio. A ideia geométrica que constitui a soma de Riemann implicou na escolha do modelo do pensamento geométrico de Van Hiele como base teórica para instigar e aprimorar a conexão histórica que envolve o cálculo de áreas e a geometria. Esta pesquisa contribui para o ensino do cálculo de áreas em dois aspectos: propõe uma adaptação dos níveis de aprendizagem do modelo de Van Hiele para a soma de Riemann e apresenta uma tarefa a ser proposta no ensino médio.
