Saúde & Preconceito: narrativas do medo

Abstract

O presente trabalho busca compreender a estratégia discursiva que integra as notícias de saúde ao panorama geral das chamadas “narrativas do medo”, do qual são elementos fundamentais as notícias de crime, violência e catástrofe. Com esse objetivo, traçamos uma breve análise da maneira como as notícias de saúde se tornaram associadas ao conceito de risco para, mais tarde, participar do repertório de narrativas assustadoras que proliferam na mídia de maneira geral, cooperando para a construção de estereótipos negativos associados às doenças.
