Secuestro de dióxido de carbono y emisión de oxígeno del bosque de Puerto Almendra, Loreto, Perú

Abstract

En este estudio se cuantificó el secuestro de dióxido de carbono y la emisión de oxígeno de cuatro especies: Alchornea triplinervia, Parkia velutina, Cedrelinga cateniformis y Eschweilera grandifolia en el bosque de Puerto Almendras, Arboretum “El Huayo“ Loreto, Perú; de densidad maderable muy baja, baja, media y alta respecti- vamente. Los datos obtenidos fueron mediante inventario arbóreo en 4 bloques de 1 ha y aplicando formulas alométricas, se ha calculado el volumen y la biomasa. Los resultados resaltan que la mayor producción de biomasa, reservorio de carbono, secuestro de carbono y emisión de oxigeno se encontró en árboles de E. grandifolia de densidad maderable alta, seguido de árboles de C. cateniformis de densidad maderable media; mientras que por hectárea en árboles de E. grandifolia y A. triplinervia. La Prueba de F del ANOVA y la de Tukey en los cuatro bloques a 0,05 de nivel de confianza es significativo para todas las fuentes de variabilidad propuestos; mientras que el análisis de correlación demuestra que las variables Densidad maderable-Biomasa, Densidad maderable-reservorio de Carbono, Densidad maderable-Secuestro de carbono y Densidad madera- ble–emisión de oxigeno; presentan correlación altamente significativa (p=0,0244) con coeficiente de Pearson igual a r =0,97561
