Abstract

La obra que el lector tiene en sus manos es un análisis histórico y antropológico de las sociedades indígenas encontradas por los europeos en el altiplano central de la actual Colombia a comienzos del siglo XVI. Parte de la idea de que los cambios no se limitaron a los primeros años del periodo de Conquista, sino que continuaron durante mucho tiempo en un proceso lento y constante de asimilación y adaptación.
