AbstrakArtikel ini membahas tentang preservasi arsip naskah kuno dengan metode enkapsulasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi pustaka. Mengingat betapa penting dan berharganya informasi yang terdapat didalam naskah kuno maka perlu dilestarikan agar tidak rusak/musnah sehingga keberadaannya bisa bermanfaat bagi masyarakat. Pelestarian ini dikenal dengan istilah preservasi dan merupakan salah satu ikhtiar untuk memperlambat proses kerusakan atau memperbaiki jika sudah terjadi kerusakan dengan berbagai macam metode. Di artikel ini, penulis memfokuskan hanya pada metode enkapsulasi.Kata Kunci: Preservasi, Metode Enkapsulasi, Naskah Kuno AbstractThis article discusses the preservation of ancient manuscript archives with the encapsulation method. This study uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques using literature studies. Considering how important and valuable the information contained in ancient manuscripts is, it needs to be preserved so that it is not damaged / destroyed so that its existence can be useful for the community. This preservation is known as preservation and is one of the efforts to slow down the process of damage or repair if damage has occurred with various methods.
