Tipo, gênero textual e gênero do discurso: em busca de uma definição para o ensino

Abstract

O estudo da lí­ngua natural, sob a perspectiva do gênero, constitui um dos principais motes acadêmicos hodiernos, especificamente por tratar-se de elemento indispensável, segundo o prescrito pelos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais. Ao evidenciar o gênero textual como uma das preocupações centrais, o linguista foca o Cí­rculo de Bakhtin como fonte de grande relevância, com contribuições quanto ao conceito de gênero do discurso, interação entre sujeitos, enunciado, dialogismo e responsividade. No uso cotidiano e acadêmico, muitas vezes, a expressão "gênero do discurso" é utilizada como sinônimo da de "gênero textual". O objetivo do presente estudo é demonstrar que, apesar de existirem pontos de contato, os conceitos são distintos. Concomitantemente, buscar-se-á evidenciar como essa diferença contribui para o processo ensino-aprendizagem de textos no contexto escolar.
