Mastofauna de médio e de grande porte da Estação Experimental Syngenta de Uberlândia – MG

Abstract

a mastofauna de grande e medio porte da Estacao Experimental Syngenta de Uberlândia foi levantada por observacoes diretas, pegadas e armadilhas fotograficas. O estudo foi dividido em duas campanhas, uma em fevereiro e outra em julho, de 2015, cada uma com oitenta horas de observacoes diretas, somadas a cerca de 3000 horas/câmera. Foram registradas 17 especies, pertencentes a 8 ordens e 12 familias, representando a maioria dos grupos taxonomicos que ocorrem no bioma do Cerrado. Esse numero e comparavel ao de outros estudos semelhantes feitos no mesmo municipio. A Mata de Brejo da Estacao foi o ambiente com maior riqueza e diversidade de especies, seguida pela Floresta Estacional Semidecidual, Cerradao e, por ultimo, as areas de cultivo. Cinco das especies identificadas estao oficialmente classificadas em algum nivel de ameaca de extincao: Chrysocyon brachyurus, Pseudalopex vetulus, Puma concolor, Myrmecophaga tridactyla e Tamandua tetradactyla . Essas especies sao aparentemente residentes na area, o que evidencia a importância da Estacao para a manutencao da mastofauna local.
