La noticia policial en la prensa argentina de los ochenta en La Nación y Crónica

Abstract

Este artículo analiza cómo los diarios argentinos La Nación y Crónica representaron el crimen en sus secciones policiales entre enero de 1988 y julio de 1989, durante el final del gobierno de Raúl Alfonsín (1983-1989). La metodología es cualitativa y articula categorías operativas de la sociosemiótica, la teoría de la enunciación y el análisis de contenido. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que, aunque ambos diarios trataron temas relacionados con la criminalidad tradicional, cada uno expandió o limitó su enfoque temático conforme a sus líneas editoriales. La principal conclusión que se extrae es que la noticia policial se configura como un discurso que inscribe temores sociales y representa tensiones en el orden democrático, que evidencia distintos modos de construcción editorial en un periodo crítico del renacer democrático en Argentina.
