The clinical and roentgenographic findings in patients with postbulbar ulcers are reviewed. The typical patient is a male of approximately 50 years of age with several years of ulcer symptoms.A stricture with an associated ulcer niche in the descending duodenum is the classic roentgen finding. The association of "posterior bulbs" in patients with postbulbar ulcers is emphasized, since this anatomic appearance makes the examination of the postbulbar area more difficult.
