Abstract

Der italienische Philosoph Giorgio Agamben vereint in seinem 2006 erstmals auf Italienisch erschienenen Band Was ist ein Dispositiv? die Quintessenzen seiner jüngsten Forschungen. Agamben veranschaulicht mittels philologischer Methoden, wie religiöse Episteme in unser Leben eingreifen, und leitet daraus zeitdiagnostische Maximen ab: Dem zunehmenden Prozess der Desubjektivierung, wie er gegenwärtig in der kapitalistischen Gesellschaft des Westens stattfindet, können auch die etablierten Parteien von rechts und links nichts entgegensetzen. Zu sehr hat sich bereits eine Inflation von Macht ausübenden Dispositiven verselbständigt. Die Geschichte und Herkunft des Begriffs 'Dispositiv', der für seine gesellschaftskritische Philosophie im Anschluss an Foucault zentral ist, stellt Agamben pointiert und nachvollziehbar dar.
