Abstract

<p>Si hacemos el ejercicio de considerar relatos acerca del origen del hombre, surgidos en culturas diferentes (europeas en un caso: fábula de Cura, reproducida por M. Heidegger en Ser y tiempo; y latinoamericanas en otros: de la cultura maya, en el Popol Vuh y de la andina del sur, en Dioses y hombres de Huarochirí), y analizamos las concepciones de hombre en ellos implícitos, advertimos que implican diversas comprensiones de la vida misma y de la interrelación entre seres humanos y no humanos. Siguiendo, en parte, a Arturo A. Roig (filósofo argentino contemporáneo) en su consideración de los dos primeros textos, hallamos<br />que mientras en el primero el ser humano es entendido como unión de cuerpo y alma, prontos a separarse con el advenimiento de la muerte, en el segundo –en cambio- el principio de la vida humana se ubica en la naturaleza misma, en un alimento con que el hombre se hace a sí mismo: el maíz. Si agregamos el tercer relato, la naturaleza aparece como fuerza creadora expresada en la quinua que, junto al maíz y la papa, es uno de los alimentos más importantes<br />en las culturas andinas.</p>
