FAMILIA LEGUMINOSAE : SUBFAMILIA MIMOSOIDEAE

Abstract

La subfamilia comprende cerca de 79 géneros y alrededor de 3270 especies en el mundo y alrededor de 31 géneros con 386 especies en México. Los miembros de esta subfamilia crecen en diversos tipos de vegetación principalmente en regiones tropicales, subtropicales, áridas y semiáridas; por lo común son más escasos en comarcas templadas. En la zona de estudio se encuentran 18 géneros con 67 especies, lo que corresponde a 58% de los primeros y 12% de los segundos respecto a la diversidad total conocida para todo el país.
