Geometri Öğretiminde Google SketchUp Yazılımının Kullanılması

Abstract

Bu arastirmanin amaci siklikla muhendislik ve mimarlik gibi alanlarda kullanilan Google SketchUp (GSU) yaziliminin Geometri konularindan kati cisimlerin ogretiminde kullanilabilirligini degerlendirmektir. Buradan hareketle ogrencilerin bu yazilimi kullanarak tamamlayacaklari probleme dayali etkinlikler tasarlanmistir. Bu etkinlikler Eskisehir Osmangazi Universitesi Ilkogretim Matematik Ogretmenligi programindaki 24 birinci sinif ogrencisine uygulanmis ve uygulama sureci arastirmacilar tarafindan degerlendirilmistir. Bununla birlikte yapilan uygulamalara iliskin ogretmen adaylarinin gorusleri alinmistir. Surec incelendiginde yazilimin kati cisimler konusunun ogretiminde etkin bir sekilde kullanilabilecegi gozlemlenmistir. Gozlem sonuclarina gore GSU’nun konunun ogrenilmesinde getirdigi avantajlar; ogrencilerin cizimleri verilen cisimleri, dinamik ortamda kolayca olusturabilmeleri, dondurebilmeleri, parcalayabilmeleri, onlarin duzlemsel kesitlerini alabilmeleri ve uzerlerinde cizim yapabilmeleridir.. Programin eksiklikleri olarak da acilimlari verilen cisimlerin olusturulmasinin ve tersine verilen kapali cismin acilimini olusturmanin zorlugu olarak belirlenmistir. Alinan goruslerde de ogretmen adaylarinin buyuk bolumu yazilimda cisimlerin manipule edilebilmesinin, 3B ortamda calisilmasinin, yazilimin kolay kullanilabilir olmasinin ve 3B dusunmeyi saglamasinin GSU destekli uygulamalarin guclu yonleri oldugunu ifade etmislerdir. Bununla beraber ogretmen adaylarinin onemli bir bolumu yazilimi kullanmayi ogrenmenin zaman aldigini, yazilimi kullanmanin zor oldugunu, yazilimin zaman zaman yavasladigini ve yuzey acilimlarini dogrudan yapan bir arac bulunmadigini belirtmislerdir. Buradan hareketle GSU yaziliminin matematik ogretmeni adaylarina alternatif bir ogretim araci olarak ogretilebilecegi; yazilimin ilkogretim ve ortaogretim duzeylerindeki ogretimlerde de kullanilabilirliliginin arastirilabilecegi ve GSU’nun diger geometri yazilimlari ile karsilastirildigi veya birlikte kullanildigi farkli calismalarin yapilabilecegi dusunulmektedir.
