The priority problem areas identified by the Panel are grouped into six categories. These categories overlap as a result of the impact that information from any one cateogry would have on the others. The categories chosen were magnetic geometry and particle orbits, macroscopic and microscopic equilibrium and stability, ring physics, transport, heating, and edge and divertor effects.
