A review of the state-of-the-art concerning these descriminators is presented. It is noted that such devices are useful in nuclear counting to separate signals of greater amplitude from a background of unwanted noise signals or those of lesser amplitude. Information is included on basic circuits and practical circuits which illustrate the present development. (J.R.D.)
