Es patente que, debido al avance de la tecnología y la medicina, se abrennuevos campos con los que el derecho a la intimidad y la vida privada debenrelacionarse. Esta importancia surge por la aparición de nuevos hechosque tienen la consideración de intromisiones ilegítimas, concretamente, enlo relacionado con los datos genéticos de las personas. Tanto el TribunalEuropeo de Derechos Humanos, como nuestro Tribunal Constitucional hanestablecido una doctrina que sienta las bases para futuras actuaciones.El objeto de este trabajo es sistematizar y profundizar en los problemasjurídicos que pueden surgir en torno a la información que proporcionandichos datos genéticos a la luz de la Jurisprudencia más reciente, así comorecoger la nueva normativa europea al respecto sobre la Protección de Datosde carácter personal que entró en vigor el pasado 25 de mayo de 2018. Genetic information and the right to privacyAbstract It is clear that due to the advancement of technology and medicine, newfields are opened with which the right to privacy and private life must berelated.
