Abstract

O trabalho teve como objetivo analisar a importÃ¢ncia da EducaÃ§Ã£o ambiental na conscientizaÃ§Ã£o de crianÃ§as do terceiro ano do ensino fundamental sobre a coleta seletiva. A pesquisa foi realizada em uma escola de Mutum, MG para uma amostra de 40 alunos. Aplicou-se um jogo sobre coleta seletiva para crianÃ§as com idades de oito (grupo um) e nove anos (grupo dois), em dois momentos distintos. Para realizaÃ§Ã£o do jogo, foram distribuÃdas cinco lixeiras com cores diferentes e 50 figuras de resÃduos no pÃ¡tio da escola. Logo apÃ³s, as crianÃ§as foram orientadas a descartar os resÃduos nas lixeiras. Na primeira aplicaÃ§Ã£o do jogo, os alunos tiveram apenas uma orientaÃ§Ã£o bÃ¡sica sobre como descartar os resÃduos nas lixeiras, obedecendo Ã s cores da coleta seletiva. ApÃ³s a conscientizaÃ§Ã£o dos alunos com textos informativos sobre coleta seletiva, o jogo foi reaplicado. Os alunos do grupo dois (9 anos) obtiveram um maior Ãndice de acerto nas duas aplicaÃ§Ãµes do jogo, comparando-se com o grupo um (8 anos). Mas, ambos os grupos aumentaram significativamente o Ãndice de acerto na reaplicaÃ§Ã£o, o que mostra a importÃ¢ncia da educaÃ§Ã£o ambiental na escola.
