Abstract

Both Thailand and Vietnam's economy should prosper under the ASEAN free trade agreement. With Vietnam entering the WTO they will probably have quotas and tariffs put on their textile industry by the EU and US as those countries try to protect their own textile industries. Thailand and Vietnam's seafood and aquaculture industries should also prosper. With Thailand and Vietnam signing free trade agreements with China, India and Australia that should stimulate growth.
