Corporate turnaround has long remained a craft-practiced by scarce, expensive specialists, and resistant to the productization and platformization that transformed adjacent domains such as finance (fintech) and law (legaltech). This paper introduces and formally defines turntech as an emerging market category at the intersection of corporate turnaround and technology: the systematic encoding of turnaround methods into software, data, and artificial intelligence to compress the diagnosis-to-action interval, increase decision precision under distress, and democratize access to high-quality recovery for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
