Research on Integrated Hydro-PV-Storage Scheduling Based on the Beluga Whale Optimization Algorithm

Abstract

With the rapid development of renewable energy, the proportion of clean energy sources such as hydropower and solar energy in power systems has been increasing year by year. However, the intermittency and volatility of photovoltaic (PV) power generation pose significant challenges to the stable operation of power systems. To improve energy utilization efficiency and ensure the safe and stable operation of power systems, this paper proposes a complementary joint scheduling model for hydro-PV-storage systems. By coordinating the operation of hydropower stations, PV power plants, and energy storage systems, the model leverages the regulating capacity of hydropower and the rapid response characteristics of energy storage to mitigate the volatility of PV power generation, achieving complementary optimization of multiple energy sources.
