Research on landscape pattern zoning management based on the matching of ecosystem cultural service supply and demand

Abstract

Spatial mapping of cultural ecosystem services in each rural tourist destination not only provides tourists with more personalized rural tourist routes, but also facilitates better promotion of rural tourist destinations. However, ecosystem cultural services are difficult to be defined and quantified due to their subjectivity and intangibility. In view of this, this study selected the rural tourism area in Datong City, Shanxi Province as the research object, and determined the value of cultural services in Datong City with the help of SolVES model to determine the characteristics of the spatial distribution of the supply capacity of cultural services in Datong City, through the construction of the demand indicators of ecosystem cultural services, spatial mapping of the level of demand for cultural services, combined with the supply and demand of ecosystem services and the clustering effect of the division of the four cultural function zones, to lay a theoretical foundation for the regional rural tourism. The results show that (1) the value of cultural services shows obvious spatial differentiation, and the more clustered the rural tourism sites are and the closer they are to the periphery of the urban area, the higher the value of cultural services, and the further they are from the road and the water body, the lower the value of cultural services. (2) The total demand for rural cultural services in Datong City has gradually shifted to the central area of the city and is almost densely distributed in Pingcheng District, showing its spatial heterogeneity. (3) The ratio of supply and demand for cultural services is 0.287, which shows that cultural services are in a surplus situation, and there is no risk of an imbalance of supply and demand for the time being. (4) According to the match between supply and demand of cultural services and the agglomeration relationship, the rural areas of Datong can be divided into four categories of developed areas, demand areas, potential areas and less-development areas. This study provides a basis for the subsequent comprehensive development planning of cultural services in rural areas.
