Abstract

German Abstract: Web Scraping – auch Screen Scraping genannt – wird inzwischen in der Empirie vermehrt verwendet. Zugleich herrscht bei empirisch Forschenden haufig Unsicherheit hinsichtlich der rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen. In diesem Beitrag wird dargestellt, welche urheberrechtlichen Grenzen beim Einsatz von Web Scrapern durch Forschende zu beachten sind. English Abstract: Web Scraping - also called Screen Scraping - is increasingly used in empiric science. At the same time, empirical researchers are often uncertain about the legal framework. This article describes the copyright limits to be considered by researchers when using web scrapers.
