Spanish Abstract: Esta Monografia analiza la actividad reciente del capital riesgo en Espana, poniendola en contexto de los mercados europeo y norteamericano. Pretende contribuir al conocimiento de las entidades que operan en este subsector financiero mediante el analisis de los recursos con los que cuentan, las empresas en que centran sus inversiones y la forma en que se llevan a cabo la realizacion del valor creado. English Abstract: This paper discusses the relationship between company's value and its ownership structure from the perspective of agency theory, focusing on non financial companies trading on the Spanish electronic market in the period 1995-2004. It also tries to determine whether these relations denote improvement in the Spanish institutional system over the closing sample years, and whether shareholders' legal personality has an influence on business value.
