A mathematical theory of civilizations is described based on a Newtonian mechanics formalism. A detailed comparison is made with historical events for all known civilizations. It quantitatively describes the macro dynamics of civilizations, the effects of external events on civilizations, and the interaction of civilizations with other civilizations and barbarians.
