Supporting Strategic Policies of Housing and National Urban Development Using Knowledge Management

Abstract

Development of coherent policies and a consistent strategic planning requires the existence of comprehensive and updated data in order to help in decision-making and to ensure the efficiency of application and implementation of housing policies and the system of housing provision. Thus, urban moinitoring process in Housing Sector Management, and following up and evaluating its performance, has become a guarantee for sustainability process in future "especially Goal 11 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals issued in 2015". Thereby, this would contribute to illustartion of the future vision to the officials and developmental decision-makers for the purpose of formulating urban and housing policies. Therefore, research problem lies in increasing accumulation of data and information and the difficulty of distinguishing them to extract appropriate knowledge that can be used to promote and support development and reform of the policies of housing and urban development and also as an attempt to monitor how much these policies might affect urban growth.
