Abstract

This literature review will be to address the questions, ‘in what ways can a team, a group and an individual define problems’, as well as what are some of the ‘best practices for ensuring decision-making can avoid common pitfalls and how some solutions are engineered. For a team, group, or an individual to be properly equipped in not only acknowledging problems, but more importantly being equipped to assess, and define the level/s, of problems being presented. In addition, there needs to be a positive level of ‘emotional intelligence’ or (EI) Othman, Abdullah, and Ahmad (2009) and a positive flow of motivational stimuli within the team/group or individual setting Chen, Sharma, Edinger, and Shapiro (2011).
