Portuguese Abstract: La realidad de los codigos de conducta (deonticos, buenas practicas o de buen gobierno) es extraordinariamente compleja y hererogenea, pues adopta varias formas de exteriorizacion. Asi, lo intuito inicial es intentar delimitar el concepto de uno de estos tipos de codigos: los codigos de buenas practicas. Para tanto, se empieza por el abordaje de los elementos y caracteristicas que integran dicha nocion, que se puede definir como: (i) un instrumento de exteriorizacion de buenas practicas; (ii) de caracter vinculante; (iii) convencionalmente practicados y voluntariamente impuestos; (iv) que para alcanzar mayor efectividad dependen de la participacion y acuerdo entre todos los sujetos implicados; (v) pudiendo o no ser elaborado, aprobado o reconocido por el Poder Publico; (vi) que objetiva el bien mayor; (vii) en el cual si conceda un sello, simbolo o distintivo de calidad o de confianza; (viii) que sea gestionado por un organismo de control independiente; (ix) que ostente capacidad sancionadora o represora y hasta preventiva; (x) y que tenga un mecanismo extrajudicial de resolucion de conflictos.English Abstract: The reality of codes of conduct (deontic, best practices or good governance) hererogenea is extraordinarily complex and therefore takes various forms of externalization. Thus, the initial intuition is to try to define the concept of one of these types of codes: codes of good practice. For that, you start by addressing the elements and characteristics that make up this notion, which can be defined as: (i) an instrument of externalization of good practice; (ii) binding; (iii) voluntarily conventionally practiced and taxes; (iv) to achieve greater effectiveness depend on the participation and agreement among all the parties involved; (v) may or may not be developed, approved or recognized by the Government; (vi) objective the greater good; (vii) in which if granted a stamp, symbol or sign of quality or confidence; (viii) that is managed by an independent control body; (ix) that holds punitive or repressive capacity and to preventive; (x) and has a court dispute resolution mechanism.
