Any economic paradigm is in some way based on a certain value premise. The Islamic one considers that the main actor, the individual, does not have as a goal the maximising of the output that needs to be realized, in the shape of the wealth or of the individual consuming. The individual is not analysed and appreciated only by means of the mechanistic and quantitative outlook anymore, but, superior to this, he must reach, embrace and cultivate spiritual needs that must equilibrate with the strictly material needs. The basis on benevolence and al’adl will influence the consumer and entrepreneurial behaviour.
