New FCC regulations mandating that all broadcaster/network contracts have an internet rebroadcast license, supported by amendments to the Telecommunications Act and the Copyright Act, are needed to save local commercial television affiliates from the threat of lost revenue due to the prohibition, by contract, of the streaming of network content from their regular programming schedule.
