Abstract : The Integrated Defensive Electronic Countermeasures (IDECM) System is a Radio Frequency (RF), self-protection electronic countermeasure suite on the F/A-18 aircraft. IDECM improves the survivability of the F/A-18 aircraft against RF guided threats during Air-to-Ground/Surface and Air-to-Air missions. The system is comprised of onboard components, which receive and process radar signals, along with onboard and offboard jammer components that transmit appropriate RF jamming responses.
