Abstract : This document describes the Chirp Shock Test Machine and demonstrates that this shock test tool has the potential to enhance the Navy's current shock-test program. The operational effectiveness of the Fleet would be improved while at the same time significant savings in personnel and equipment costs for shock testing and verification would be realized.
