Abstract : Presidential Decision Directive (PDD) 63 was America's first strategy for protecting critical information infrastructures. It has been supplemented with other executive orders and directives. After three years of service PDD 63 has not worked as intended. In this Strategy Research Project I will outline the elements of critical infrastructures, the different policies and problems and challenges of PDD 63. From that I will offer different solutions for critical infrastructure protection.
