Abstract : The problem investigated in the study was one of the many involved in population relocation, e.g., evacuation, migration, etc. The study focused upon the general problem of billeting in private homes and upon the specific problem of factors which generate interfamily tension thereby making adjustment difficult. The interfamily adjustment process was approached from the case study viewpoint with emphasis upon identification and description of concrete sources of disruption rather than on an attempt to develop a theory of interpersonal tension.
