Tight Oil Development in RN-Yuganskneftegas

Abstract

Abstract This paper presents a way of tight oil development using horizontal wells with hydraulic fracturing and modified field development patterns. In order to minimize risks of drilling and optimize development decisions we apply systematic complex approach including well data analysis (incl. special tests), seismic data, reservoir surveillance results and geology modeling based on lithofacial analysis followed by simulation study. The feature of this approach is that this workflow is carried out on an ongoing basis and adjusted to the new incoming data. Using Achimov and Tyumen formation as examples characterized by high lithofacial heterogeneity and complexity of technological indicator forecasting we presented approaches to design the development strategy based on scientific and engineering support and pilot data.
