Abstract

Objetivo. Analizar la situación de la infancia en salud, cuidado cariñoso y sensible, y desarrollo infantil temprano (DIT) en infancias menores de 60 meses durante 2021-2023. Material y métodos. Se utilizó la Encuesta Nacional de Salud y Nutrición Continua 2021-2023 (Ensanut Continua 2021-2023. Se estimaron prevalencias e intervalos de confianza al 95% de cada indicador y se desagregaron por características sociodemográficas; se estimó la probabilidad de DIT adecuado mediante regresión logística. Resultados. El acceso a servicios de salud prenatal y de primera infancia es bajo. El 39.0% de las infancias no cuenta con libros infantiles y 50.4% está expuesto a métodos de disciplina violenta. El 95.2% está expuesto al menos a un factor de riesgo que afecta su probabilidad de lograr un DIT adecuado y ésta disminuye con cada factor de riesgo adicional. Conclusión. Existen indicadores relacionados con la primera infancia que deben atenderse focalizadamente para que las infancias expuestas a más factores de riesgo logren un DIT adecuado.
