Abstract

Antecedentes: Los instructores de entrenamiento de alta intensidad (crossfit) presentan un comportamiento vocal distintivo, con fuerza y energía, conlleva a un mal uso y abuso de la voz, lo que podría generar disfonía. Esto no solo representa una potencial y constante consecuencia de riesgo durante el cumplimiento de su trabajo, sino que podría generar discapacidad y disminución de la productividad esperada. Nuestro estudio tiene como objetivo estimar la frecuencia de alteración de la voz y sus características asociadas en instructores de entrenamiento de alta intensidad en Lima Metropolitana y Callao, Perú en el 2019. Método: Estudio transversal descriptivo en 11 centros de entrenamientos de Lima Metropolitana y Callao en el 2019. Los instructores llenaron una ficha de recolección de datos y el Índice de incapacidad vocal (VHI-30) validada al español. Realizamos análisis descriptivos para la muestra total y por nivel de disfonía. Resultados: Participaron 62 entrenadores. Encontramos que el 91,94% presentaba disfonía leve y 4,84% presenta disfonía moderada. La más frecuente es la disfonía de tipo funcional. El tiempo laboral es de 5,12 años, con cantidad de alumnos por clase de 12,50 personas. El 100% de los participantes que recibieron entrenamiento de la voz, presentan disfonía. Conclusiones: La disfonía es una patología muy frecuente en los instructores de entrenamiento de alta intensidad, por lo que es importante enfatizar su prevención y manejo en este grupo estudiado, así como empezar a delinear las recomendaciones y manejos pertinentes dentro del campo de la salud ocupacional a nivel personal, laboral y normativo.
