ANÁLISIS MORFOMÉTRICO DE LA CUENCA HIDROGRÁFICA DEL RÍO AYUQUILA, JALISCO-MÉXICO

Abstract

La descripcion de las caracteristicas morfometricas de la cuenca hidrografica del rio Ayuquila, aporta informacion base para la planificacion estrategica del manejo de recursos naturales asi como para la realizacion de estudios hidrologicos a escala espacial. El trabajo emplea los Sistemas de Informacion Geografica (SIG) como herramienta base que permite el analisis de la cartografia digital oficial, conformando imagenes de la red de corrientes, hipsometria y pendientes, y manipulacion de imagenes digitales. La cuenca se distribuye en 21 municipios y una superficie de 3,642.43 km2, se conforma por 24 cuencas tributarias, drenaje dendritico y 10,288 corrientes superficiales. Basado en 35 parametros morfometricos se estimaron modelos de correlacion, identificando la mayor dependencia en el tiempo de concentracion con respecto a la longitud de la cuenca (R2 = 0.91) y la proporcion de elongacion en relacion al area de la cuenca (R2 = 0.83).
