The highest leader is the Head of the Madrasah, legally entitled to decide policies, make the right choices, and have a positive influence on teacher performance in order to foster a better work environment. This research was conducted at MA Muhammadiyah 9 Lamongan. Researchers use a qualitative approach because researchers and informants have direct contact and qualitative research is more descriptive in nature, the data collected is in the form of words. In this research, we try to explore the policy of the Madrasah Head at MA Muhammadiyah 9 Lamongan regarding teacher performance. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. The qualitative approach used in analytical techniques includes data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on the findings of this study, policy decisions were made in response to problems aimed at improving teacher performance through workshops, competency development and training.
