Your committee submits that the future of the Section is brighter now than at any time in the past and that fundamental contributions to public health administration can be mnade, if the Section will wisely extend its activities beyond the nurturing of registration, classification and tabulation. Our aim should be to, make future vital statisticians responsible counselors and advisors to their execu-tives, and to ease the present burden of registration and tabulation technique. That will depend upon the initiative, vision and scholarship of the Section's. officers.
