The International Exposition at Strasbourg..--The first of June, 1923, -will mark the beginning of the celebration of the Centenary of Pasteur at Strasbourg. The celebration will embrace three aspects: (1) The opening of the exercises by the unveiling of a monument to Pasteur, (2) The creation of a Museum of Hygiene destined to perpetuate the memory of Pasteur and his discoveries, (3) The opening of an International Exposition showing the results of the work of Pasteur in the fields of medicine, hygiene, industry and agriculture. The inaugural exercises on June 1 will be attended by the President of the French Republic, Government officials, and numerous delegations of scholars and scientists from all countries. The Exposition will include among other exhibit groups the following of especial interest to public-health workers: Bacteriology, chemicals and the chemical industry, social hygiene, child welfare, military hygiene, vital statistics, public-health administration, municipal hygiene, the food industries, refrigeration, etc. Congresses will be held in connection with the Exposition relating to most of these subjects which have just been referred to. Of general interest will be the athletic events to be conducted in a special stadium fitted up by the City of Strasbourg.
