Diagnóstico y perspectivas del sector terciario en las regiones mexicanas

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo exponer los potenciales de desarrollo económico en las regiones mexicanas, a partir del análisis de la concentración del producto por trabajador en las diferentes actividades económicas que en conjunto componen el sector terciario, y la distribución de la IED, tanto a nivel sectorial como a nivel espacial. El estudio propone una metodología no tradicional para medir y evaluar la composición estructural de las regiones mexicanas, por medio de herramientas de análisis regional, tales como: índices e indicadores de concentración de la actividad económica y sectorial. Una conclusión preliminar es que la intensificación de las desigualdades regionales, tanto en los niveles económicos agregados como en la distribución de los ingresos personales, se debe a la alta concentración de la actividad productiva en sectores estratégicos, pero con poco arrastre para el resto de entidades que carecen de una estructura económica dinámica.
