FATORES QUE INFLUENCIAM O DESMAME PRECOCE

Abstract

O aleitamento materno é a forma mais natural e eficaz de proporcionar nutrição, proteção e fortalecer o vínculo mãe e bebê. No entanto, o desmame precoce continua sendo um problema significativo de saúde pública. Este estudo tem como objetivo identificar e compreender os fatores associados ao desmame precoce com base na literatura existente. Realizou-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura utilizando dados de três bases de dados: Scielo, Lilacs e Bdenf, empregando os descritores "aleitamento materno", "desmame" e "fator de risco", combinados por operadores booleanos. A revisão integrativa abordou 18 artigos que revelaram os principais fatores associados ao desmame precoce, incluindo: idade materna, baixa escolaridade, trabalho fora de casa, conhecimento e orientações inadequadas sobre amamentação, problemas com as mamas (traumas e dores), sintomas de depressão pós-parto, baixo peso ao nascer, recusa do peito pelo bebê sem justificativa, mito do "leite fraco" e uso de chupeta e/ou mamadeira. O estudo conclui que, apesar do desejo da mãe de amamentar, diversos fatores podem comprometer a continuidade do aleitamento materno.
